All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion without discussion. If discussion is desired, that item may be removed and considered separately.

Planning Commission Meeting Minutes - Approval

Approve the minutes of the Regular meetings of October 12, 2021 and October 26, 2021.

PUBLIC COMMENT
During the public comment period, members of the public may speak on general items of interest within the Commission's jurisdiction that are not on the agenda.  Each member of the public may speak for a maximum of three minutes with a maximum of 15 minutes for the entire public comment period. The Chair shall determine whether the matter is within the Commission's jurisdiction. The Commission shall not act on or discuss any matters raised during the public comment period, which are not on the agenda, but shall refer such matters to staff for review and/or request such matters be placed on a future agenda.

Pre-Application Review for a Proposed Five-Story Residential Building at 222 S. Fremont Street (Gateway Terrace Project)

Review the proposed project on a preliminary basis, receive public comments and provide input to the applicant and staff on the overall project as proposed, with specific focus on the following project elements: Building Architectural Design – provide input on the project’s consistency with the Downtown Gateway Vision and Multi-Family Design Guidelines; Building Massing and Scale – provide input on the applicant’s request to eliminate the building transition/step back recommendations; Site and Landscape Plan – provide input on the amount of common open space and landscaping provided; and, Other project aspects to be considered for the formal planning application.

Pre-Application Review for a Proposed Five-Story Mixed-Use Building at 435 E. 3rd Avenue (PA-2021-021)

Review the proposed project design on a preliminary basis, receive public comments, and provide input to the applicant and staff the overall project as proposed, with specific focus onpertaining to the following project elements: Building Design – Evaluation Provide input onof the overall architectural style and its compatibility with surrounding buildings;. Floor Area Ratio – ConsiderationProvide input on the concession of the request to exceed the maximum floor area ratio (FAR); and. Off-Street Parking – Consideration Provide input on the concessionof the request to pay in-lieu fees for all required off-street parking as a Density Bonus concession request..

That the Planning Commission nominate a representative to the Civic Arts Committee

Commission Members and Staff report on their various assignments and Commission requests for scheduling future items.
