Civic Arts Committee Meeting Minutes Approval

Approve the minutes of the regular meeting on September 9, 2019.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Members of the public wishing to comment on any item not appearing on the agenda may submit a “Request to Speak” form at this time. State law prevents the Committee from taking action on any matter not on the agenda. Your comments may be referred to staff for follow up.

NEW BUSINESS

Mid Peninsula Downtown – Art Concepts

Staff from Mid Peninsula will present their art concepts for the downtown project. This is a study session to provide feedback only, there will be no decisions made by the Committee at this meeting.

Community member-initiated proposal to relocate the “Parallel Balance” sculpture located on the northeast corner of 2nd Avenue and Railroad Avenue.

Hear community member Keith Weber’s proposal to relocate the “Parallel Balance” sculpture and direct staff as to whether the Civic Arts Committee would like to hold a study session in order to further consider this matter.

2019 Art in Public Places Annual Report

Review and recommend approval to the City Council of the 2019 Art in Public Places Annual Report.

5.

Review of Existing Art in Public Places Ordinance

Continue the review of the current ordinance and discuss committee member feedback and suggestions for any changes.

REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Committee members and staff report on their various assignments and liaison roles and requests for scheduling future items.
