CONSENT CALENDAR
All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion without discussion. If discussion is desired, that item may be removed and considered separately.

1651 Coyote Point Drive - Findings of General Plan Conformance - Resolution Adoption

Adopt a Resolution to find that the proposed purpose and extent of San Mateo County’s redevelopment of the existing CuriOdyssey science museum and zoo located at 1651 Coyote Point Drive conforms to the General Plan.

PUBLIC COMMENT
During the public comment period, members of the public may speak on general items of interest within the Commission's jurisdiction that are not on the agenda.  Each member of the public may speak for a maximum of three minutes with a maximum of 15 minutes for the entire public comment period. The Chair shall determine whether the matter is within the Commission's jurisdiction. The Commission shall not act on or discuss any matters raised during the public comment period, which are not on the agenda, but shall refer such matters to staff for review and/or request such matters be placed on a future agenda.

 
PUBLIC HEARING
Planning Commission decisions are final unless appealed to the City Council in accordance with Section 27.08.090 of the San Mateo Municipal Code. The time within which judicial review of any final decision may be sought is governed by Code of Civil Procedure section 1094.6. If any person challenges a Planning action in court, they may be limited to raising only those issues raised at the public hearing or in written correspondence delivered to the City of San Mateo, at or prior to, the public hearing. Some public hearings will be automatically referred to City Council and those will be indicated below.

500 E. 3rd Avenue (Block 21) – New Six-Story Office/Residential Mixed-Use Building (PA-2021-063)

Recommend to City Council adoption of a Resolution to approve the Site Plan and Architectural Review (SPAR), Site Development Planning Application (SDPA), and Tentative Parcel Map for the properties located at 500 E. 3rd Avenue, 300-320 S. Delaware Street, 511-525 E. 4th Avenue, and 307-373 S. Claremont Street for construction of a six-story mixed-use building consisting of 111 residential units and 179,560 square-feet of office uses, and a Special Use Permit (SUP) for construction staging at 402 S. Delaware Street; and adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration to assess the environmental impacts of the project, based on the Findings for Approval and subject to the Conditions of Approval.

Pre-Application for a Proposed Five-Story Mixed-Use Office and Residential Building at 477 9th Avenue (PA-2022-004)

Review the project on a preliminary basis, receive public comments, and provide input to the applicant and staff on the proposed project with specific focus on the following project elements: Building Design – Architectural design, massing, and transition with surrounding buildings; Site Plan and Landscape – Proposed public plaza, pedestrian realm improvements, and transition to the Downtown Retail Core; and, Other project aspects that should be considered during the formal planning application.
